Description

1888 N28 Allen & Ginter Timothy Keefe PSA EX-MT 6. One of the game's first 300 game winners, "Smiling Tim" shows off his Hall of Fame form upon this 125-year old issue. Keefe pitched two complete game victories in a single day, allowing just three hits over eighteen innings of work making him a logical inclusion within one of the most gorgeous and collectible Victorian era trading card sets ever produced. The 1964 posthumous Hall of Fame inductee strikes a pitching pose for this early tobacco card, which exhibits mild corner wear, clean surfaces and pleasing hues. Not too shabby for a 135-year old card. Many surviving cards from this set are typically plagued by major condition issues. The opportunity to own one that still retains visual appeal and a high-end physical condition which hasn't diminished in the last century+ is a treat being found less and less often. Graded PSA EX-MT 6. With more than two hundred submissions of note, this card ranks in the top 25% finer examples in a PSA holder.
