1888 N173 Old Judge Cabinet Hugh Duffy. Originally available through the redemption of tobacco coupons, the N173 Old Judge Cabinet has been a scarce commodity since its years of issue. Today they represent one of the most challenging endeavors for the trading card collector. The fine photography and oversized dimensions serves to expand their appeal beyond the sole purview of the tobacco card enthusiast. Offered is an N173 of a Baseball Hall of Famer who enjoyed an 18-year career, retiring with a .324 batting average - Hugh Duffy. The card mount has staining, surface wear and three small spots of loss which would result in a strict technical grade of fair. What sells this scarce beauty is the portrait of Duffy.
