1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Dan Brouthers SGC 2. The name Dan Brouthers might not ring a bell for most modern baseball fans, but it should. Quite simply, he was an offensive giant. His .342 lifetime batting average is still 12th, all-time, and he was one of the very few players of the 19th century to have a slugging percentage of over .500. Here "Big Dan" appears on one of the prettiest sets of its time, the 1888 Goodwin Champions. The card has been graded SGC Good 2. It does feature one horizontal crease that has faded with time and some corner softness.
