    Description

1887 N28 Allen & Ginter King Kelly PSA NM 7. "King" Kelly was one of baseball's first true superstars. He is often credited with making the "hit and run," the hook slide and the catcher's practice of backing up first base common practice. Off the field, he was the subject of both song and cinema. The phrase "Slide Kelly, Slide" was the title for both a 19th century song and a 1927 movie. Offered is the Hall of Famer on his N28 Allen & Ginter "The World's Champions" card from 1887-88. Graded PSA NM 7. This is one of twenty submissions at the NM level with nine grading higher. It is completely free of major maladies such as creases, wrinkles, surface loss and pencil/pen markings. A very pleasing example with a problem free portrait.
