1887 N28 Allen & Ginter John Ward PSA NM-MT 8. John Ward excelled at both shortstop and as a pitcher during his seventeen years as a Major Leaguer. He is credited with posting the second perfect game in the history of professional baseball in 1880. Off the field, his tremendous influence was felt as he organized the Players' Brotherhood, the first baseball players union, and formed the short-lived Players League in 1890. Solid example with an edge chip mid-right edge. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of six at the NM-MT level with two grading higher.
