1887 N175 Type 2 Gypsy Queen California Brown (Pose #45-3) SGC Good 2 - The Only Graded Example! Offered is an exceptional rarity a 124-year old series that is nothing short of a prime opportunity for even the most advanced collector. Those studied in nineteenth century collecting are all too aware of the elusiveness of the "super sized" N175 "Gypsy Queen" cards or N175 -2 (Type 2). The population of standard N175s will never satisfy demand let alone what seems like a handful of the 2 x 3-7/16" relics. Williard Brown got his nickname "California" for being among the first west coast players to head east to play ball. Although not a superstar, Brown amassed a lifetime .261 batting average and help his New York Giants to back-to-back championships. Offered is pose #45-3 Throw, R/hand chin high, L/mask in hand. Graded SGC Good 2. This is the only graded example!
