    1887 N172 Old Judge Bob Allen, Pittsburgh (#5-3) SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5 - One of the Finest N172's in an SGC Holder! Currently, SGC has graded over 9,000 N172 Old Judge cards. Fewer than 20 - less than one-quarter of one percent - have been graded NM-MT+ or higher! Bob Allen was a top infielder for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1890 to 1893. His career ended in June, 1894 after being hit by a pitch that almost took his eyesight. Pose: #5-3. Hands clasped at waist; Caption: ALLEN, S. S. Pittsburghs; Grade: SGC 92 NM-MT+ 8.5. Only a dozen Allen cards are noted on the SGC census for all of his N172 poses. This is the highest graded example of them all! Photo Quality: Excellent++.
