1887-90 N172 Old Judge John Ward (#478-8) PSA VG-EX 4 (MC) - Only Two Higher. It isn't much of a stretch to say that the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown was built to enshrine men such as John Montgomery Ward. Very few have had the accomplishments on- and off- the field to match Ward, who starred as a pitcher, outfielder, shortstop, manager, author, and labor organizer. Offered is the #478-8 pose of Ward from the N172 Old Judge set, which features the Hall of Famer in a very unusual simulation of a baserunning maneuver. It has received the grade PSA VG-EX 4 (MC) because it was cut a bit too close for comfort along its bottom edge. However, other than that, the card presents itself very nicely with good image quality and strong condition.
