    1887-90 N172 Old Judge Joe Quinn (#376-3) SGC 50 VG/EX 4 - Uncatalogued Team Variation & Not Imaged In Reference Book! This card with a Boston (PL) caption was previously unknown. This card is one of a small number of cards not found for imaging when the Old Judge bible was produced, an N173 cabinet was used instead. Just like this card, Joe Quinn is a baseball first. Quinn was born in Ispwich, Australia in 1862. His debut in 1884 made him the first professional baseball player born in Australia! He became the first Australian manager in 1895 when he signed up to skipper the St. Louis Browns. It would take the better part of another century before the second player from down under made a MLB debut - Craig Shipley in 1986. Offered is pose #376-3 Leaning/L, ready to run.
