1887-90 N172 Old Judge Ed Delahanty (#123-1) PSA VG 3 - Pop One, Three Higher. Of the hundreds of players and poses that comprise the N172 series, few generate as much fascination and desirability as does HoFer Ed Delahanty. Here, "Big Ed" is just a 20-year old rookie who will evolve into a hitting machine who will bat .400 three times and retire with a lifetime average of .376 (#5 All Time). That alone guaranteed his place in baseball history but it his accidental and unique manner of death guaranteed him a place in baseball lore. Graded PSA VG 3.
