    1887-90 N172 Old Judge Bid McPhee (#317-4) SGC 55 VG/EX+ 4.5. New collections regardless of their size are always fun to go thorough. This collection included almost 20 HoFers included not one but two cards of John McPhee! Asking for more would be greedy but then there are the numerous uncatalogued team variations. HoFer John "Bid" McPhee retired in 1899 after an 18-year career but wasn't recognized in Cooperstown until 101 years later. A solid batter but one of the greatest 2d Basemen in baseball history leading in Putouts eight seasons and Turned double plays eleven times. He retired with a .944 Fielding %.
