1887-88 N28 Allen & Ginter "The World's Champions" Cap Anson SGC Poor 1. It has been just about 140 years since Allen & Ginter released their "The World's Champions" series in 1887-88. Offered is one Cap Anson - one of baseball's first superstars and the founding member of the 3,000 Hits Club - the selective fraternity which set the standard for future excellence. Card features brilliant colors and modest corner tip wear which were certainly aided by being housed in an old album for who knows how many decades. But the reverse shows the one detriment to albums - removal. There are obvious areas of surface loss. Graded SGC Poor 1.Auction Info
