    Description

2006 Topps Alex Gordon #297 PSA Gem MT 10 - The Card That Shouldn't Be! The card that never should have been. In 2006 Topps went ahead and produced a card of Alex Gordon. Who could blame them? Gordon helped Nebraska to the College World Series and was the No. 2 pick in the 2005 draft. The problem is Topps only had permission to produce cards for players on the 25-man roster or had played in a major league game the previous season. Gordon fails on both points. He didn't sign until later in the year in 2006 forcing Topps to pull the card and destroy the art and photography. They even went so far as to create cards with just his picture cut out. Offered is a PSA Gem MT 10 example of the now infamous card. The SMR value of this card is $950.00.
