Description

2001 Upper Deck SP Authentic Albert Pujols (Future Watch-Limited) Rookie #126 SGC Mint+ 9.5 - #'d 5/50 - Pop One, None Higher! This is one of the premier rookie cards for Albert Pujols, "The Machine," who was selected in the 13th round of the MLB Amateur Draft in 1999 by the St. Louis Cardinals. Now that Pujols announced 2022 was his final season, we can put into prospective what he did throughout his 22-year career and it was crushing the ball. In 2018 he became the 32nd player to reach 3,000 career hits and finished 10th all-time. In his record breaking final season he moved past Babe Ruth into 2nd all-time in RBIs. And of course finally, becoming the 4th player ever to hit 700 home runs, joining Ruth, Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds. Just one of these instances alone would make one a Hall of Fame level talent, but with Pujols and his many other achievements they make him arguably the greatest hitter of all-time.

Our offered card coming from 2001 Upper Deck SP Authentic is one of The Machine's most coveted rookie cards. This version of the Future Watch insert is the Limited variant, where stated odds of pulling it are unknown, just that the card is serial numbered out of 50. Speaking of serial numbering, this card has the most important number it is out of, Pujols' fabled #5. So factoring in his achievements, the limited nature of card, serial numbered to his jersey number and being the highest SGC graded type of this card, make it fantastic card for any baseball fan to bid on. Graded SGC Mint+ 9.5. The only card graded Mint+ with none higher! Limited edition - #5/50.
