    Description

2001 Topps Traded Albert Pujols (Gold) #T247 PSA Gem Mint 10. During the 2020 season, Pujols passed Willie Mays (660) and moved into fifth place all-time for home runs with 662. But Pujols' hitting prowess isn't recent. He hit .329 in his first year and won the National League Rookie of the Year with the St. Louis Cardinals. He hit over .300 in his first ten major league seasons, with a high of .359 in 2003. Pujols has 3,236 hits and stands fifteenth on the all-time list and with 84 hits in 2021 he would vault into tenth place. Known as "The Machine" for his seeming automatic ability to hit for both average and power, Albert was termed "a natural" by his former hitting coach on the Cardinals, Mike Easler. Pujols has amassed Six Silver Slugger Awards distributed among three positions: first base, left field and third base. Albert has won three MVP Awards and continues to play with the Los Angeles Angels. Graded PSA Gem Mint 10.
