Description

2001 Bowman Chrome Albert Pujols (Autographed Refractor Rookie) #340 BGS NM-MT+ 8.5, Auto 9 - #'d 206/500. Albert Pujols was selected in the 13th round of the MLB Amateur Draft in 1999 by the St. Louis Cardinals and he finished his career in 2022 back with the Cardinals. Now that his phenomenal career is over, we can put into prospective what he did throughout his 22 years as a player. In 2018 he became the 32nd player to reach 3,000 career hits and finished 10th all-time. In his record breaking final season he moved past Babe Ruth into 2nd all-time in RBIs. And of course finally, becoming the 4th player ever to hit 700 home runs, joining Ruth, Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds. Just one of these instances alone would make one a Hall of Fame level talent, but with Pujols and his many other achievements they make him arguably the greatest hitter of all-time. Offered is a highly sought after rookie card of The Machine, coming from 2001 Bowman Chrome, featuring an on-card blue marker signature of Pujols. Graded BGS NM-MT+ 8.5 with subgrades: Centering 8, Corners 9, Edges 9, Surface 9 with a Beckett Auto 9. Limited edition - #206/500.
