Description

Population two, none superior!

2000 Upper Deck Game Jersey Kobe Bryant (Patch 2-Autograph) #KB-PA PSA NM-MT 8, PSA/DNA Auto 10 - #'d 2/8. The 2000 Upper Deck Game Jersey Kobe Bryant #KB-PA is a landmark card that exemplifies the early era of premium memorabilia inserts that have gradually come to dominate the 21st-century trading card marketplace. Released in Series Two of Upper Deck's 2000-01 set, this seminal commemorative features a game-used jersey patch and an on-card autograph from Bryant, both highly coveted elements among collectors. Each card is hand-numbered from a limited edition of just eight, aligning with Bryant's jersey number, and was available exclusively in hobby packs inserted at a rate of 1:5,000 packs.

The card showcases a dynamic image of Bryant driving to the basket in opposition to fellow Hall of Famer Reggie Miller, captured during Game 4 of the 2000 NBA Playoffs by photographer Nathaniel S. Butler. This period marked a significant phase in Bryant's career, as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to their first NBA championship since 1988.

The jersey swatch is a desirable portion of either the lettering or numerals, comprised of white and yellow tackle twill with zig-zag stitching. The autograph is properly assessed by the experts at PSA/DNA at a perfect Auto 10, its eternal rarity ensured by the tragic helicopter crash that took the lives of Bryant and his daughter in January 2020. The card itself is dazzling as well, sharing the top of the population census with one other specimen at PSA NM-MT 8.
