    Description

1979 Topps Ozzie Smith #116 SGC 96 Mint 9. Ozzie Smith is as famous for his back flips as he is for having the major league records for career assists (8,375), NL record with 2,511 games at short and winning the NL Gold Glove Award for 13 consecutive seasons and making 15 All-Star Game appearances. Offered is a SGC 96 Mint 9 graded copy of his 1979 Topps rookie card. All the bells and whistles are here - four sharp corners, flawless surfaces and perfect centering. From a total population approaching 800 submissions this is one of just seventeen in Mint with only one rated higher. Those are very small numbers for a modern card.
