    1978 Topps Eddie Murray #36 PSA Gem Mint 10. Eddie Murray was a model of consistency during his Hall of Fame career, earning himself the nickname "Steady Eddie." Although he never received MVP honors, it was common to see his name among the top ten candidates. One the field he is one of only five men on the planet able to claim membership in both the 500 Home Run and 3,000 Hit Clubs and ranks #1 on the RBI All-Time list for switch-hitters with 1,917. Off the field Murray had a love/hate relationship with the media but his accomplishments could not be denied, His call to the Hall came in 2003, his first year of eligibility.

    Post-career, Murray cemented his status as one of Baltimore's adopted sons with generous donations to the Baltimore City Parks and Recreation Department that established the Carrie Murray Nature Center, named after his late mother. "Eddie Murray 504 Cabernet" was named for his 504 homers appeared in 2008 with proceeds going to the Baltimore Community Foundation.
