1977 Topps Nolan Ryan #650 PSA Gem Mint 10. Nearly 4,700 examples of this card have been submitted to PSA for professional grading, and this is one of just twenty-one to earn the service's highest recommendation, placing it above 99.5% of its brethren within that sizeable population. As one would likely guess, the all-time Strikeout King led the American League in that statistic in 1977 (341), although many will likely be surprised he also pitched a Junior Circuit high of twenty-two complete games. This flamethrower was the Middle East of Major Leaguers--owner of a seemingly endless supply of gas.As the PSA Gem Mint 10 grade would suggest, there's really no need for an official condition report, as that is not a grade that the service assigns lightly, and particularly not for cards issued in the past half-century. Like the man it honors, this card is simply as good as it gets.
