1976 Topps Thurman Munson #650 PSA Gem Mint 10. Thurman Munson wasn't just the catcher for the New York Yankees, he also served as team captain. Munson's career was prematurely ended by his tragic death when his private plane crashed on August 2, 1979. In 1989 the city of Canton, OH named their new ballpark "Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium."
