1974 Topps Hank Aaron Home Run King #1 SGC Mint+ 9.5 - Pop One, None Higher! The winter of 1973 must have been the longest (and most stressful) in the life of Hank Aaron. The 1973 season ended with Aaron belting 713 home runs - one shy of beating the Babe. Opening day of the 1974 season saw Ruth's record tied and on April 8, 1974 - baseball history was made! 715! Sports records don't fall every day, particularly ones that have been standing for four decades. Topps assumed Aaron would break the record and decided to honor him on card #1 calling him "New All-Time Home Run King." Offered is a simply vibrant and fresh-from-the-pack example that is a champion in its own right. Graded SGC Mint+ 9.5. This is the only card in Mint+ with none higher!
