Description

1973 Topps Hank Aaron (All-Time Total Base Leader) #473 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher! Major League Baseball's home run king, Hank Aaron, registered several thousand bases during his jaunts around the diamond during his many round-tripper trots. Many of those were the result of his 755 home runs, which equate to 3,020 total bases. But overall, after 19 seasons in the Majors, Aaron had accumulated 6,172 total bases with four more seasons yet to play! Offered is a 1973 Topps card that recognizes "Hammerin' Hank" as MLB's "All-Time Total Base Leader." He would eventually accumulate 6,856 total bases by the time of his retirement following the '76 season. Offered is card #473 from the '73 Topps set that shows "Hammer" with his preferred choice of lumber leaning on his right shoulder. This example is found in Mint condition. Graded PSA Mint 9. Of the nearly 900 examples found in the PSA Pop Report, this is one of 41 cards graded MINT with none rated higher.
