Description

1967 Venezuela Topps Ty Cobb #146 PSA VG-EX 4. Ty Cobb, the Hall of Famer who earned the nickname "The Georgia Peach," was an incredible hitter who won 12 American League batting titles during his 22 seasons with the Detroit Tigers (1905 to 1926). He still owns the highest lifetime batting average in MLB history (.366). Presented is a 1967 Venezuela Topps card that features the gifted outfielder. The card, which was released well after Cobb's playing days were over, is marked "Retirado" across the lower portion indicating he was retired. Cobb, in fact, died on July 17, 1961. This example of card #146 is found in mid-grade form with rich color, excellent centering, and a relatively clean reverse. Graded PSA VG-EX 4.
