    Description

1967 Topps Rod Carew A.L. Rookies #569 PSA Mint 9 (OC). "I taught him how to steal home," once noted Billy Martin, who served as the Twins' skipper during the 1969 season. "That's all I ever taught him. As for hitting, he knew how to do that all by himself." Arguably one of the most underrated players occupying a spot in the Baseball Hall of Fame, Carew played Ty Cobb's game long after the attentions of the baseball world had turned to the Babe Ruth model, trading power for placement and brawn for blazing speed. Seven times Carew claimed the American League batting title on his way to becoming a member of the 3,000 Hits Club. Card remains in marvelous condition, with great color and sharp corners. Graded PSA Mint 9 (OC).
