Description

1965 Topps Tony Perez - N.L. Rookie Stars #581 PSA Mint 9. This 1965 Topps card featured three up-and-coming National League rookie stars who were all hoping for greatness. The trio of top rookies includes first baseman Tony Pérez (Reds), fellow infielder Kevin Collins (Mets), and catcher Dave Ricketts (Cardinals). As it turns out, Perez posted the most memorable career with a pair of World Series titles (1975 and '76) as a member of Cincy's "Big Red Machine," 379 home runs and seven NL All-Star selections. He also earned enshrinement in Cooperstown in 2000. This example of card #581 from the '65 Topps series is found in Mint condition with superb color, decent centering (slight pull toward the bottom), bright white borders, and four strong corners. Graded PSA Mint 9. Of the 3,723 examples found in the PSA Pop Report, this is one of only 99 cards graded MINT with just four rated higher.
