Over the next 23 seasons he would pitch in 854 more games, racking up 318 victories upon his retirement in 1987. It was on October 6, 1985 that the elder Niekro brother and future Hall of Fame knuckleballer would become a member of the 300 Win Club at the tender age of forty-six years and 188 days. He is also the oldest man ever to pitch a shutout. Offered is what is the first of many Topps cards featuring his likeness, his first from 1964. Completely uncirculated and exceptional in every way. Graded PSA Gem MT 10. Only three examples have received the ultimate PSA rating from a total pop of over 1,200 submissions.
