    Description

1963 Topps Willie Stargell - 1963 Rookie Stars #553 PSA Mint 9 - Only Two Higher. Willie Stargell was a mainstay in the Pittsburgh Pirates clubhouse for two decades. No true Pittsburgh fan is unaware of his heroics in Game 7 of the 1979 World Series when the "Pittsburgh's Pa" went 4-for-5, fulfilling his role as elder statesman of the Pirates bench. For the series, Stargell batted .400 and leading the Pirates to a world championship title. Offered is a very colorful and glossy example with virtually flawless blue and yellow fields, vibrant colors, and a quartet of quality corners. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of thirty-four grade at the Mint 9 level with a pair rated higher.
