Very Rare 1952 Coke Playing Tips Test Card Willie Mays! Among the rarest test issues of the 1950's are the Coca-Cola Baseball Player cards from 1952. The cards appeared only in the NY region and only two subjects are known - Phil Rizzuto and that immensely talented young and brash outfielder for the Giants - Willie Mays! The cards not only promoted "Coke" to the masses, they also offered a season schedule so you wouldn't miss a game. Unlike all of the other Coca-Cola cards that offered "Playing Tips" the Mays card offers a biography of the star on the back of the 7" tall card. Although copy advertises "Collect All 11 Big-League Baseball Cards" we do know only two subjects are known. This card is by no means easy to find with most originating from a small quantity being found in the late 1990's that were all water damaged. The condition is obviously POOR and while not ideal, when will you find another?
