A 10-time All-Star and a four-time World Series champion, Slaughter compiled a .300 career batting average, racked up 2,383 hits, and drove in 1,304 runs. He is most famously associated with the "Mad Dash" during Game 7 of the 1946 World Series, where he scored the winning run by sprinting from first base to home on a single, a play that epitomized his relentless playing style.
