Signed 1954 Topps Al Kaline Rookie #201 PSA Good 2, PSA/DNA Auto 10 - From The Al Kaline Collection.Update: This signed rookie card originates from Al Kaline's personal collection. This was Kaline's personal card.
Offered is a 1954 Topps rookie card spotlighting Al Kaline of the Detroit Tigers. A .297 lifetime hitter, Kaline spent his entire 22-year MLB career in the Motor City and registered 3,007 hits of which 399 went for round-trippers. Often referred to as "Mr. Tiger," Kaline was nearly named the American League's MVP in four separate seasons, but never won the award. He did, however, eventually make his way to Cooperstown in 1980. This specific example of his prized rookie (#201) has been nicely enhanced by Kaline's signature across the front. He signed it just below his chin in fine-point blue marker. Graded PSA Good 2 with a certified autograph graded PSA/DNA Auto 10.
