Baseball 1952 TOPPS EWELL BLACKWELL #344 EX/MT PSA 6."The Whip" started six straight all-star games from 1946-1951 and was as one of the most dominant forces in the game. Shortly thereafter, Blackwell was beset by arm problems, and although he pitched well for a few more years, it was clear he was not the same pitcher. A difficult high number from the '52 set, this EX-MT example of Blackwell's only flaws appear to be a slight centering problem, and corners that are just a hair's breath away from being sharp. SMR Value= $245.
