1959 Topps Bob Gibson #514 SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5. Bob Gibson was one of the last of his breed. A tough, durable pitcher who used intimidation to dominate hitters through most of the 1960's. One of his best seasons a pitcher has ever had came in 1968 when Gibson went 22-9 on a 1.12 ERA including 13 shutouts. The pitching mound was lowered in 1969. The offered card has all of the attributes one would expect in a high-grade card. Clean white borders, sharp corners and blemish-free surfaces highlight this seemingly pack-fresh card. Graded SGC NM/MT+ 8.5. One of eighteen graded NM-MT+ with ten rated higher from a total pop of over 800 submissions.
