    Description

1958 Topps Ted Williams #1 SGC NM-MT 8. For the second consecutive year baseball card fans found Red Sox hero Ted Williams at the front of the line as the issue's #1 card. This distinction was in line with Topps honoring the MVP of the previous season. Williams' stoic look and battle-worn cap are familiar features to the many hobbyists who have cherished the '58 Topps set's inimitable style for more than a half-century. Sadly, contract maneuvers by Topps' arch-rival, Fleer, were destined to whisk the Hall of Famer away from the gum card giant's line-up by 1959. Graded SGC NM-MT 8. Attention grabbing example with no faults and four "minty" corners.
