    Description

1958 Topps Roger Maris #47 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop Two, None Higher! High-grade rookie card from the 1958 Topps series features a young Roger Maris with the Cleveland Indians. It is a Maris still unaffected by his historic feat earning his place baseball history. Often forgotten in all the talk of the 61-homer season, is the fact the Maris won AL MVP honors in both 1960 and 1961 - edging out New York Yankees teammate Mickey Mantle each time. Crystal-clear registration, flawless centering and sharp corners are just a few of the attributes of this great looking card. Of the 368 cards submitted to SGC, this is one of two which merit a 96 Mint 9 rating with none grading higher.
