1958 Topps Orlando Cepeda Rookie #343 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher! Orlando Cepeda, who was nicknamed the "Baby Bull," was a Hall of Fame first baseman who compiled a .297 batting average over his 17 years in the Major Leagues. As a member of the San Francisco Giants, he made his presence felt immediately as he captured NL Rookie of the Year honors in 1958 after hitting .312 with 25 home runs and 96 runs batted in. He played for six different teams throughout his career, won NL MVP honors in 1967, and finished with 379 round-trippers and 1,365 RBI. His induction into Cooperstown took place in 1999.Offered is Cepeda's coveted 1958 Topps rookie card, which shows him awaiting a throw to first base. This example of card #343 from the '58 Topps set is found in Mint condition with vibrant color, good centering, snow white borders, four strong corners and a clean reverse. Graded PSA Mint 9. Of the nearly 3,000 examples found in the PSA Pop Report, this is one of only 23 cards graded MINT with none rated higher.
