    Description

1957 Topps Warren Spahn #90 PSA Mint 9. Spahn's 363 victories has never been topped in the Live Ball era. Clemens and Maddux made gallant efforts but still fell short despite pitching extra seasons. His record all the more remarkable when considering he left for World War II and wouldn't post his first career victory until he was twenty-five years old. Stan Musial once joked that Spahn would never make it into the Hall of Fame. Why? "He'll never stop pitching," he explained. Offered is this virtually uncirculated card from the 1957 Topps issue. Warren's portrait is close to being perfectly centered, is surrounded by four sharp corners and offers a pair of blemish free surfaces and seemingly day-old gloss. Graded PSA Mint 9. This is one of twenty-nine examples to grade Mint, only two have charted higher!

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
