    Description

1957 Topps Don Drysdale #18 PSA Mint 9. Don Drysdale, or "Big D," won just over 200 games in a somewhat brief career, cementing his place in Dodgers lore. More importantly, Drysdale helped pitch "Dem Bums" to three World Series championships. Add a Cy Young award and a fifty-eight scoreless inning streak, and the result is a place in Cooperstown. This example of Drysdale's rookie card from 1957 Topps is a blazing PSA Mint 9 copy, one of just fifteen copies graded with none higher. A small amount of stray red ink on the bottom border is likely what caused this card to be held back from becoming the first Gem Mint.
