Description

1957 Topps Brooks Robinson #328 PSA Mint 9 - Only One Higher. Dave Winfield had one of the great lines of any Hall of Fame induction speech, telling the Cooperstown crowd, "If I'd have known I would've been this successful, I would have saved all my rookie cards!" But, like Winfield, Brooks Robinson only saved one of his own, with Heritage having the privilege of putting it up for auction. The card was graded excellent and with all due respect to Brooks, this one is considerably nicer.

The 1957 Topps issue remains one of the most important in trading card history as the first to utilize full-color photography, and Robinson joins future HoFers Frank Robinson, Don Drysdale and Bill Mazeroski as key rookies. A solid PSA MINT 9 example in which every physical aspect of this card is the epitome of quality. It may not be Brooks' personal card but it is one of the top 1.3% of the over 2,500 submissions.
