Description

1956 Topps Ted Williams (White Back) #5 PSA NM 7. Ted Williams finished his illustrious career with the Boston Red Sox in 1960 with 2,654 hits (including 521 home runs) to his name. A six-time American League batting champ, "Teddy Ballgame" was twice named AL MVP (1946 and '49). He was elected to Cooperstown as a first-ballot inductee in 1966. Offered is a 1956 Topps card that captures the "Splendid Splinter" perfectly, first with a handsome headshot and then through a smaller inset image showing Williams swinging through at the plate. This white-back example of card #5 from the '56 Topps set is found in Near Mint condition with good color, four sharp corners and a clean reverse. Graded PSA NM 7.
