    Description

1956 Topps Ted Williams #5 SGC 96 Mint 9 - Pop Four, None Higher. One of the most desirable examples from a parade of exceptional visual entries from the 1956 Topps baseball issue. The classic dual portrait and action-shot featured on this card have made Ted's '56 entry a collector favorite. The game's most-adept slugger of all time, Ted Williams, has been preserved since the summer of '56 and appears to not have aged a day. The Splendid Splinter looks just magnificent on this magically preserved card from the popular Topps set. Precise centering, sharp corners and clean surfaces have left the graders at SGC with no alternative but to christen this condition rarity with a proper grade of SGC 96 Mint 9. One of only four to earn a mint rating with none higher.
