Description

1956 Topps Roberto Clemente (White Back) #33 PSA NM-MT 8. This 1956 Topps card spotlights Roberto Clemente, the Hall of Fame right fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates who recorded exactly 3,000 hits during his legendary career. A lifetime .317 batter, he was equally proficient in the field as he won 12 Gold Glove awards for his stellar defensive efforts. Tragically, he lost his life on Dec. 31, 1972, while en route to Nicaragua to help earthquake victims. The plane in which he was traveling was overloaded with supplies and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. He was only 38 years old.

This white-back example of his second-ever Topps card (#33) is found in outstanding condition with vibrant colors, great centering, four quality corners and a squeaky clean reverse. Graded PSA NM-MT 8.
