    Description

1956 Topps Jackie Robinson #30 SGC 96 Mint 9. The defending World Champion made his last appearance in a Topps issue as a player this season, as he would hang up his cleats for good following the team's loss to the Yankees in the 1956 World Series. Here we find one of the finest examples known of this important card, one of just five to achieve this elite level on the SGC population chart, with none scoring higher. Tremendous color and gloss, sharp corners and unbeatable centering account for the rating.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
