    Description

1955 Topps Dusty Rhodes #1 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher. "Dusty" Rhodes was an integral part of the glorious 1954 World Championship season for the New York Giants. The club's four-game World Series sweep of the seemingly invincible Cleveland Indians is a stand-out event for baseball historians who recall that Rhodes was the hero of that Series who hit home runs in both of the Giants' home games including a three-run walk-off shot to close out Game One. With those memories still in the hearts and minds of New Yorkers, Topps featured him on card #1 for their 1955 effort making his role once again an integral part of this classic production. The card certainly seems like it never saw public circulation as it shows no signs of being over 50-years old. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of then graded Mint by PSA with none rated higher.
