    Description

1954 Topps Willie Mays #90 PSA Mint 9 - None Higher. Who can resist the infectious grin of one of baseball's most talented athletes? When it appears on the front of a 1954 Topps baseball card we "Say, Hey" it's impossible. The series is a true hobby classic. The combination of a detailed portrait and Black & White action pose against a flat color was a brilliant design that remains just as popular today as we are sure it was back in 1954. Naturally, Mays is one of its most important cards in the set and in any condition is a must have for the '50's or Mays specialist.

Graded PSA Mint 9. One of thirteen examples graded Mint with none rated higher. The example we offer is close to beyond comparison. The very nicely centered portrait is so stunning with fresh inks and gloss resulting in a vibrancy one always hopes for. Surfaces are problem-free, corners all come to distinct 90-degree angles. This card shows an almost complete absence of any signs of handling. The highest quality in all regards and it stands to reason that this remarkable example stands atop the population charts.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
