    Description

1954 Topps Al Kaline #201 PSA NM-MT 8. Ty Cobb will hold the "Mr. Tiger" nickname for many fans in the team's pantheon. In 1953 Al Kaline debuted at age eighteen. 1954 marked the All-Star slugger's official rookie campaign, an auspicious start for which he claimed the bronze medal in American League Rookie of the Year balloting. He would wear a Tiger jersey for the next twenty-two seasons, then close to thirty as the team's television color commentator. If anyone deserves the "Mr. Tiger" nickname it is Hall of Fame outfielder Al Kaline. Offered is one of the finer examples of the rookie card of Detroit's native son. Remarkably clean, very glossy and colorful with four high quality corners and a remarkable portrait. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. A card with both physical quality and tremendous visual appeal.
