    Description

1954 Bowman Ted Williams #66 PSA NM-MT 8. One of the more recognizable cards from the hitting great who inspired his share of nicknames including "The Kid," "The Thumper," "The Splendid Splinter" and "Teddy Ballgame." Baseball's greatest hitter was pulled from the Bowman set, likely a victim of contractual problems, leaving card #66 to be replaced with Jimmy Piersall and card #66 featuring Williams becoming is one of the most sought-after postwar rarities. Vivid hues are enhanced by the fresh, clear gloss. This is a terrific example with surprisingly nice color and gloss. The portrait is slightly off-centered, corners show just slight amounts of wear at the outer tips. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. One of fifty-two at the NM-MT level with three higher.
