1952 Topps Willie Mays #261 PSA NM+ 7.5. That perturbed look on his face appears to convey a sentiment that haunted the Say Hey Kid for most of his career--why is that Mantle kid getting all the attention? We hear you, Willie, and while the answer is that the Mick is contained within the short-run final series of the 1952 Topps issue, there's not a tremendous difference in the PSA populations of the two cards--only about a third more for Mays.

We supply this data to convey the opinion that we find an undervalued commodity here, a card that should track closer than it does at present to the soaring market of his pinstriped counterpart just across the Harlem River from the Polo Grounds.

The offered representation finds itself firmly ensconced in the top five percent of all submissions, carried to that lofty position by bold colors, sharp registration and clean surfaces. We find nothing more than typical light corner wear to document its long journey from wax pack to PSA slab.
