Description

1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 PSA EX 5. When it comes to baseball cards issued before the Second World War, the Honus Wagner T206 is the undisputed king. But of the modern era, card #311 from the 1952 Topps series featuring baseball legend Mickey Mantle claims the prize as the most coveted and valuable entry. It has become a card that is on every collector's wish list. There is just some mesmerizing appeal of the talented young hopeful looking skyward toward destiny.

Graded PSA EX 5. Obviously there have to be "faults," as it is not graded Mint, but what is present has failed to have much impact. It is a wonderful copy with a warm, inviting portrait that offers both physical and visual appeal. There is wear at the corners which seems to be all that keeps this card from a higher grade. Even centering rests a small percentage away from precision. On a one to ten grading scale, five would imply an average card. That is not true here.
