Description

1952 Topps Larry Doby #243 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Seven, None Higher. Larry Doby is largely overlooked by history in the race to break the color barrier. Doby was the first African-American to play in the American League that historical summer of '47. From the landmark 1952 Topps baseball set, card #243 features HoF outfielder Larry Doby with the Cleveland Indians. This is an amazing example with rich colors, clean surfaces, and corners all as nice as one will find in an almost 70 year old card. Just an outstanding card worthy of being the among the very highest graded examples in a PSA holder. Graded PSA Mint 9. One of only seven cards graded MINT with none higher from a total pop of just over 800 submissions.
